What we collect, and why
Booking request
Name, phone, email, country, tour, date and group size: to reply to you and organise the trip.
Participant registration
This form is open to all Mount Karthala hikers, whether or not they are Discovermores customers (QR code displayed at the start of the trail).
Name, sex, age group, nationality, country and town of residence, phone, emergency contact, any health information you choose to report, photo consent: for the safety of the group during the trip.
Visitor profile, the people with you, first visit, walking level, motivation and how you heard about us: for statistics. These answers are only used as anonymous totals (never covering fewer than 5 people), in the public counter and in Data Pro summaries. No data that could identify you is sold or passed on.
Health information is accessible only to the supervising team and is deleted automatically 90 days after registration.
Questions asked on the website
For a class or school group, the teacher fills in a single form: school, number of pupils, age range, number of accompanying adults and their own contact details. No pupil’s name is asked for or recorded.
The text of questions asked to K269 (“Ask K269”) is kept, with no information about you, to find out what is missing from the website. Please do not include personal data. When the answer is written by AI, the question and the selected website passages are sent to Anthropic (provider of the Claude model, United States) to write the answer, with no information that could identify you.
Feedback and contact
Your answers and messages: to improve our trips and reply to you. A review is only published with your consent, signed with your first name and country.
Statistics
The figures published in the data space are anonymous totals. No information that could identify you is published or sold.
Where the data is stored
In a Google spreadsheet (Google LLC) and an AppSheet app, accessible only to the Discovermores team. Other data is kept for 3 years after your last trip, then deleted. If you register without a network connection, your form is kept on your phone until it can be sent, then deleted from it.
Cookies and trackers
This website uses no advertising cookies or audience measurement tools.
To display the typefaces, your browser contacts the Google Fonts servers, which receive your IP address.
Minors
A minor participant’s information is filled in and confirmed by the responsible adult accompanying them.

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, and withdraw your photo consent, by writing to contact@discovermores.com. We reply within 30 days.
